The ICU Admission was a binary variable generated based on whether the patient had ICU admission or not: less severe (0) contained No hospitalization and Inpatient/Emergency visit, and more severe (1) contains ICU/Mechanical Ventilation/Intubation and Deceased. Influenza existence indicated whether individuals had Influenza (1) or not (0) from 01/01/2010, and Influenza counts indicated how many episodes of Influenza that individuals had from 01/01/2010. The upper layer ( a ) was for prior to COVID-19 metabolomic endotypes, while the lower layer ( b ) was for during/after COVID-19 metabolomic endotypes.
